The first bike Alton ever had was his balance bike, a Christmas gift from Grammy and Grandpa when he was one year old. Despite Mommy and Daddy's careful inseam measuring, the bike was a little too big for him, so he had to grow a little before he could use it. Now at age four, he cruises on it carefully and will soon be too tall to ride!
The trike was a last-minute craigslist find one summer when we were going camping with friends and Alton was going to be the only child along on the trip. Bring more toys!

His latest acquisition is a kids' Trek bike with 16" wheels and a real handbrake!
